Purchases and review units
Default path: we buy the product. Review units are allowed when access is the only practical way to test — and only with a disclosure at the top of the piece.
A loaner does not buy a higher score. It buys transparency.
Affiliates and links
If a page uses affiliate links, the disclosure says so. Links never decide whether we cover something or what score it earns.
Some desks stay affiliate-light by policy. When a piece says “affiliate-free,” that claim is meant literally.
Gifts and access
Unsolicited hardware or swag does not create an obligation to cover. If we keep something of material value after a test, we note it. Launch trips and exclusive briefings are disclosed when they inform a piece.
Corrections
Factual errors get fixed. Material fixes get a dated note on the article. If a score moves because the product changed — or because we were wrong — we say which.
